Terms of service
Last updated 20 September 2026
This is a plain-language agreement between you and Believe Labs, LLC, the company that makes Cloudtape. By using Cloudtape, you agree to it.
Using the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use Cloudtape on Apple devices you own or control, under Apple’s standard licence terms for App Store apps. Those terms apply alongside these.
Please don’t copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app, or use it to break the law.
The trial and the purchase
Cloudtape is free for 14 days, counted from when your first sync finishes. After that, a one-time in-app purchase keeps syncing on. There’s no subscription.
If you don’t buy it, the app stops checking Dropbox and stops downloading. Everything already on your phone keeps playing.
Purchases are made through Apple, and Apple handles payment and refunds. To ask for a refund, use Apple’s Report a Problem page. Family Sharing is on, so the purchase covers your family group.
Your music is your responsibility
Cloudtape plays files that you put in your own Dropbox or on your own phone. We don’t provide, host or check any music. You’re responsible for having the right to the files you sync and play.
Other companies’ services
Cloudtape works with Dropbox, and optionally with Last.fm. Your use of those services is under their own terms. Cloudtape isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Dropbox, Apple or Last.fm. Dropbox, Apple, iPhone, App Store and Last.fm are trademarks of their owners.
If one of those services changes or shuts off its API (the interface the app uses to talk to it), parts of Cloudtape may stop working. Your downloaded music won’t be affected.
No warranty
We provide Cloudtape “as is”, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We don’t promise it will be free of bugs or always available. Keep your originals in Dropbox; Cloudtape never changes them.
Limit on liability
As far as the law allows, Believe Labs, LLC isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses from using Cloudtape, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for the app. Some places don’t allow these limits, and if you live in one, they apply only as far as your local law permits.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top. If a change matters, we’ll say so in the app’s release notes.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. That doesn’t take away any consumer rights you have under the law where you live.
